Escuela Mediterráneo
Spanish School in Barcelona, Spain
Escuela Mediterráneo – TANDEM Barcelona is a center specialized in the teaching of Spanish as a Foreign Language (ELE) well known in and outside of Barcelona for its quality and intercultural environment. We are fortunate to receive students from all over the world.
The school was created in 1996 by Rocío Vilaró and Emilia Molero, directors of the center, specialists in the teaching of Spanish with a degree in Philology and a master’s degree in Spanish as a Foreign Language.
Our center has some essential features that make it unique: a highly qualified team of people who are very close to the students, a proven methodology where theory and experience come together to respond to the needs and expectations of the student and a privileged location.
The human team is the basis of our School. It is made up of a group of experienced teachers who are experts in teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language and who are eager to improve their skills day by day, and a highly competent and multilingual administrative team.
In our school, we prepare the student to be able to develop in the society of the language they are studying in an intercultural environment. The students who form our classrooms come from very different countries and cultures. Our challenge is to get students to work in collaboration with their peers and develop skills that will allow them to integrate into the city, meeting local people in the shops, markets, restaurants, on the flat they share, etc.
