At Internationella Skolorna Düsseldorf, your learning progress and individual needs are our top priority. At our locations in Düsseldorf and Berlin, we offer courses for different learning styles and are happy to advise you on which type of course suits you best. Our teachers are native speakers with many years of experience who create communicative and interactive lessons. We were founded in 2001 and have 25 years of experience in teaching German. As we are a Swedish foundation, most of our participants come from Sweden. Our locations in Berlin and Düsseldorf are centrally located and easy to reach. Both cities offer a wide range of cultural attractions, sightseeing opportunities, and vibrant nightlife.
All course participants receive detailed information on how to find furnished accommodation for the duration of their stay in Düsseldorf or Berlin. We provide information, contacts, and tips to help you find the option that suits you best. For closed groups, we can also arrange accommodation with German host families or book accommodation if needed.
In our semester courses, we offer a varied cultural programme that allows participants to explore the city itself as well as sights in the surrounding area. Participants in our intensive courses receive detailed tips on how to discover the city together with their new friends. Our school is located right in the centre of Düsseldorf – the historic Old Town with its many cafés and the beautiful Rhine promenade are just a short walk away. Düsseldorf is also ideally located for trips to Cologne, Bonn, Paris, Brussels, and Amsterdam. Berlin is a vibrant cultural metropolis where you can find everything your heart desires.

Düsseldorf has 600,000 inhabitants and is located in western Germany. The modern city is especially known for its art, culture, and architecture. Near our school, you will find the Japanese quarter “Little Tokyo”, the shopping boulevard Königsallee, the Old Town with its many cafés, and the beautiful Rhine promenade. Another highlight is the modern MedienHafen district with its extraordinary buildings. From the nearby central station, the city of Cologne can be reached in just half an hour by train, while Bonn is about an hour away. Football fans have the opportunity to experience live Bundesliga matches in nearby cities. Düsseldorf is also an ideal starting point for trips to Paris, Brussels, and Amsterdam.
Berlin is Germany’s largest city and the country’s capital. Thanks to its cultural and historical heritage, Berlin is one of Europe’s most visited metropolises. Here, you can find traces of many different eras: the royal and imperial period, the Weimar Republic, the Nazi dictatorship, the GDR era, and German reunification. Berlin offers a huge variety of shops, flea markets, restaurants, bars, and nightclubs. Its nightlife is legendary and has something for every taste. The Brandenburg Gate, Kurfürstendamm, Alexanderplatz with the World Clock, and the TV Tower – at 368 metres Germany’s tallest structure – are among the sights that should not be missed.
