As well as the opportunity to learn German, we give you an insight into the local culture and way of life. As part of our summer courses, we organise a wide range of activities that give you the chance to get to know Munich and its surroundings. Our varied leisure programme offers three activities a week, including trips to Lake Chiemsee and Dachau, to Salzburg in neighbouring Austria, and to a variety of historic castles and palaces. We also visit museums, beer gardens and exhibitions, and offer theatre and cinema trips, sports activities and city tours (transport costs and entry fees non-inclusive). The activities are a great way to improve your German and have fun at the same time.

Here you will find a flourishing high-tech industry and some of Germany’s largest, most renowned technology companies.
With over 94,000 students and its many theatres, cinemas, museums and galleries, Munich is a true cultural hotspot. Here you can visit the famous “Neue Pinakothek”, “Alte Pinakothek” and “Pinakothek der Moderne” museums or attend a concert by one of the city’s orchestras or opera houses. Munich is also a city of breweries and is home to the famous Oktoberfest, attended by almost 6.5 million people each year. Outside Munich, you can visit a breath-taking landscape of lakes and Alpine panoramas, along with the fairy-tale castle of Neuschwanstein. Munich is also a great base for weekend trips to nearby cultural centres in Germany and other European countries.
