Escuela Mediterráneo – TANDEM Barcelona is a private school specialising in teaching Spanish as a foreign language (ELE). The language school was founded in 1996 by Rocío Vilaró and Emilia Molero. Both the school’s directors have a university degree in Hispanic philology, a master’s in ELE and extensive experience of teaching Spanish as a foreign language.

Barcelona is one of Spain’s most spectacular and multicultural cities and its second biggest. The Catalan capital is situated on the Mediterranean coast in north-eastern Spain, around 120 km south of the Pyrenees and the French border. Iberians, Romans, Jews, Visigoths, Moors and Christians have all left their mark on this region.
