We have been offering an extensive programme of Spanish courses for over 30 years. Our school is recognised by Spain’s Instituto Cervantes, which has certified the quality of our language courses. Our team of highly qualified staff individually tailor their lessons to the needs of students. All our teachers have extensive experience and are trained in the latest methods of foreign language instruction. We also work with a range of European institutions. We offer individual support and work in small groups of up to eight students. Our services also include accommodation finding and TANDEM language exchanges with local people. To make sure our students have a learning experience they’ll remember forever, we organise a range of cultural events that give you the opportunity to meet the people of the Basque Country. You’ll learn Spanish and get to know our unique culture.

Learn Spanish in San Sebastián!

On the Cantabrian coast and at the foot of the Pyrenees, just 20 km from the French border, San Sebastián in northern Spain is where the mountains meet the sea. Everything in our city is within easy distance. Why not head straight to the seafront after your Spanish lesson? Take a walk along La Concha Bay or go surfing at Zurriola beach. The city is a perfect blend of tradition and modernity, and its streets hum with an indescribable atmosphere. San Sebastián has fantastic architecture and a fascinating cultural offering. World-famous events such as the international film festival and jazz festival take place here. The outstanding Basque cuisine makes this a foodie’s paradise. The city is famous for its 16 Michelin-star restaurants and its many bars serving “pintxos” – the region’s distinctive tapas. When the sun goes down, it’s time for a glass of red wine in one of the old cafes and a club night down by the legendary La Concha Bay. San Sebastián is also a great base for excursions further afield. Surfing, the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, a visit to Biarritz or Mundakazu, climbing in the Pyrenees or a hike along the Camino de Santiago are just some of the varied leisure options.

City Hopping

With TANDEM, you can split your German course across two cities. You can start your language course at TANDEM San Sebastián and continue it at one of our partner schools in Barcelona, Granada, Madrid or Santiago de Chile.
